Guten tag. For privacy, I just go by my real-life nickname, Livie. I'm a Christian, libertarian, and relativist living just by the Canadian border. I've been home-schooled my entire child/young-adulthood. I'm an aspiring writer, artist, and photographer (I took my profile pic), and am open to criticism/improvement. I aim for a poetic, vocabular, but concise style. I always have writing/dictionary sites up on tabs. I mainly read/write speculative-fiction. I'm not into YA/romance, but I'll read any genre if it's done well. My favorite authors are Brandon Sanderson, Ray Bradbury, Markus Zusak, Ayn Rand, and Orson Scott Card. Video games inspired my passion for writing. My circadian rhythm is utterly screwed; I go through erratic periods of being either a night owl or an early bird. I tend to see things in gray as opposed to black-and-white. I have a habit of saying 'also' and 'y'know?' a lot. I've been called a hipster, but I don't define myself that way. I started researching Japanese culture for a story and got uber-interested in it, so I'm pretty sure once I start watching anime I'll become a total weaboo. I dream of world travel. I'm a Taurus who doesn't believe in Zodiac, am 5'7, an ambivert, ENTP according to the Myers-Briggs test and an Individualist according to the Enneagram test. I still get upset over Kurt Cobain's death. I'm Heinz 57 all the way -- mainly of German, Irish, and French-Canadian blood, to name a few. I try to be open-minded, but not in the sense of being politically-correct. I'm a nerd in many ways (not so much in the Steve Urkel way, more in the 'you're a pretentious asshole' kind of way) mostly by my interests -- philosophy/metaphysics, world culture, psychology, film, literature (obviously), etymology, history, forms of government, science, art, sociology, antiquing, music (listening to it, not creating it. Stage fright and whatnot), silent films, and probably a ton of other things I know equally as little about. My favorite bands/musicians are Scorpions, Billy Squier, Aerosmith, Def Leppard, Guns n' Roses, Jet, Styx, Kansas, Green Day, Misfits, The Distillers, Joan Jett, Billy Idol, The Beatles, Paul McCartney, The Moody Blues, The Eagles, Billy Joel, Elton John, Heart, Blondie, Brandi Carlile, The Cure, Echo & the Bunnymen, The Boomtown Rats, Nirvana, Foo Fighters, Alice in Chains, Soundgarden, Mudhoney, Hole, L7, Oasis, Fastball, Coldplay, Franz Ferdinand, We Are Scientists, The Antlers, Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden, W.A.S.P, Three Days Grace, + a billion more. Basically anything from the 70's, 80's or 90's or that sounds similar to that kind of music. My favorite genres are Oldies, rock, new wave, 80's synth rock, hard rock, soft rock, punk, alt rock, indie, psychedelic rock, prog, grunge, post-grunge, alt metal, metal, heavy metal, jazz, and classical.
