i agree with @thewalkingdude the roots look creepy. the atmosphere look too much unreal. but maybe it's a good option, to use them as fingers on a piano keyboard.... you should restart with a nice winter sky and set up a new scene with a piano and trees...

one hint why those trees look creepy is probably the kind of skin tones you used to color them. those fleshy tones are disturbing... you should have used some more disaturared tones.
